Purchase Policy for Group Guided Tours

Groups of visitors and individual visitors can book guided tours of permanent collections and exhibitions on the Museum's web-site.

The Museum offers two types of guided tours—for adults and for schoolchildren (including senior pupils and students)—taking into account the difference in the visitors' age and perception.

The group may consist of 5–15 visitors (for adults) and 5–15 children + two attendants (for schoolchildren). Larger groups are not allowed for guided tours. If you want to order a guided tour for a larger group (15 and more people), the group will be divided into two (or more) subgroups, i.e. you need to purchase 2 guided tours.

Any visitors arriving with a group larger than the specified number must purchase tickets (regardless of the visitor's social category) at the Museum's ticket offices according to the standard procedure and only if such tickets are available. The guided tour services will not be provided to those visitors.

Warning! Guided tours and subscriptions alone do not grant access to the Museum's exposition—it is necessary to purchase admission tickets to the exposition area for every group member at a price set for the social category of the visitor.

Please note that free admission to our Museum is only available to schoolchildren under 16. Senior pupils and students must purchase reduced fee tickets.

On the day of visiting the Museum, the guided tour and tickets purchased online must be received and additional admission tickets for tour group members must be purchased at the ticket office (Clause 1.9. of the User Agreement) at least 30 minutes prior to the guided tour start time upon presenting the identity document of the tickets recipient specified during the ordering process on the Museum's Web-site and the printed form of the guided tour and ticket order and payment confirmation.

Then the group leader must register the guided tour at the Excursion Office at the Main Building of the Museum.

The group which is completely ready for the guided tour must gather at least 15 minutes prior to the guided tour start in the basement near the Excursion Office (in case of a guided exposition tour in the Museum's Main Building) or near the building administrator stand (in case of a guided exposition tour in the 19th and 20th Century European and American Art Gallery).

If the group has failed to gather by the fixed time, the Museum has the right to cancel their guided tour or reduce its duration in proportion to the group's delay.

If the group is late and the guided tour cannot be held, or if the group has not arrived, the money will not be refunded to the Client.

The cost of a guided tour ordered on the Museum's Web-site may only be refunded to the bank card used to make the payment, based on the Buyer's application submitted at least 72 hours prior to the date and time of the guided tour according to the procedure stated in the User Agreement.
